Bellue walk-in temperature and humidity chambers provide room-scale environmental conditioning for large components, assemblies, fixtures, and batches that do not fit a cabinet chamber. Published models cover several workspace sizes and temperature configurations; final performance, utilities, access, safety layers, and optional systems are confirmed against the DUT and test profile during quotation.

  • The DUT, fixture, cart, or batch requires a room-scale usable workspace.
  • The program needs controlled temperature and humidity cycling rather than a rapid-rate or specialty environment.
  • Door access, floor loading, airflow, heat rejection, utilities, and installation clearances can be planned as part of the chamber project.
  • The buyer can provide the required temperature/humidity profile, DUT heat load, test duration, and applicable procedure for configuration review.

Information Needed to Select the Chamber

  • DUT and fixture: dimensions, mass, material, heat generation, quantity, orientation, and any energized state.
  • Test profile: temperature and humidity setpoints, dwell times, transition expectations, total duration, and load condition.
  • Access and workflow: door opening, carts or vehicles, floor loading, observation, cable ports, and specimen handling.
  • Facility: available floor area, route to site, electrical service, cooling or heat rejection, drainage, water quality, ventilation, and ambient conditions.
  • Controls and records: data logging, USB export, RS-485 or Ethernet communication, remote monitoring, alarms, and system integration.
  • Procedure and risk: the governing test method, revision, buyer acceptance criteria, DUT hazards, and required protective layers.

Safety, Standards, and Project Boundaries

Bellue supplies environmental test equipment and project support; it is not a testing laboratory or certification body. Standards compatibility and acceptance criteria must be confirmed against the buyer’s specified revision, procedure, DUT, instrumentation, and authority having jurisdiction.
A walk-in chamber is not automatically suitable for personnel occupancy during an active test. Entry, egress, internal door release, emergency stop, interlocks, alarms, ventilation or purge, fire protection, monitoring, and lockout procedures must be defined through the project risk assessment. Energized batteries, flammable materials, gas release, or other hazardous DUTs require a separate engineering review and must not be assumed compatible with a standard climate-room configuration.
