Cell-level validation remains important, but many engineering teams now need module, pack, and ESS-level test capability. Larger DUTs increase the need for walk-in chambers, drive-in rooms, reinforced floors, wider access, power routing, exhaust paths, and emergency planning.
Safety planning is becoming part of the chamber discussion
Battery abuse, thermal runaway, external short circuit, fire exposure, crush, nail penetration, and overcharge scenarios require more than a standard enclosure. Containment, gas management, observation, operator workflow, and maintenance access should be considered before equipment is ordered.
Labs want more flexible platforms
Many labs need equipment that can support several programs over time. Flexible chamber platforms, modular fixtures, data-ready controls, and serviceable layouts make it easier to adapt when DUT size, standard requirements, or test profiles change.
Data visibility matters earlier
Temperature, humidity, voltage, current, pressure, gas, event, and alarm data often need to be reviewed together. Early planning helps define the right monitoring approach and avoids late changes to control architecture or lab procedures.
